St. Mary's Church, Hay-on-Wye
As part of the Hay Music Series, we performed our 'Wisdoms' repertoire of newly written pieces alongside historical gems in this beautiful old church next to the river Wye in Hay.

Programme:
​
Second performances of newly commissioned works by Rhiannon Randle (Two Widsoms: character songs based on the Old Norse book of Wisdom Havanal) and Zhenyan Li (Prism: a spacious trio for harpsichord, theorbo and violin). These commissions were supported by the Ambache Trust, which promotes and supports female composers.
Contemporary songs and pieces by Janet Oates, Dominic McGonigal, Suzy Robinson, Elliott Park and Susie Vaughan

Beautiful works from the early Baroque by Barbara Strozzi, Isabella Leonarda, Elisabetch Jacquet de la Guerre and Alessandro Piccinini.

2022
In December 2022 our second concert took place in Richmond. This time we juxtaposed newly written works with historical works, showing the viability of a mixed programme for baroque instruments.

Two new commissions supported by the Ambache Trust were written by Rhiannon Randle and Zhenyan Li, and new pieces by Janet Oates and Dominic McGonigal were premiered, while pieces in new arrangements for historical instruments were offered by Susie Vaughan and Suzy Robinson. as well as works reprised from 2021.
