Myrto Loulaki
Mezzo-soprano
Myrto is a London-based singer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, and teacher. She is passionate about inspiring creativity and curiosity through her teaching and believes music and storytelling are powerful ways to connect people.
While her favourite opera role is undoubtedly Dido, she also loves inventing new roles by creatively blending stories from various heroines. Myrto is a co-founder and active member of the Metapraxis Ensemble. As a writer, she has written librettos for operas—including 'The Darkness of Mistico,' produced by the Greek National Opera—as well as stories for children and adults, featured in multidisciplinary projects like the LSO-supported shadow theatre 'Music Impossible.'
When she's not making music or writing, she enjoys long walks with her son and her dog, Pluto.
